Single Bed & Cabinet with Exotic Lacquerwork
Remarkable late 19th.c. pine bed and matching marble top bedside cabinet with fabulous lacquer work decoration c.1890.
4' wide bed frame in heavy and well figured piranha pine. Decorated on the footboard with stunning original polychrome lacquer work scene of exotic birds and foliage. Further decoration to the top of the headboard and the sides. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Sold together with a matching marble top bedside cabinet featuring a drawer and cupboard on turned legs and stretchers. Also with lacquerwork decoration of birds and flora to the front and sides. Minor surface wear to the marble and the lacquerwork, generally excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
