Silver Hummingbird Brooch Onyx Ruby & Marcasite
A delightful vintage sterling silver brooch in the form of a hummingbird.
The vintage silver brooch is decorated all over with various marcasites and features a ruby set eye and black cabochon onyx. The bird is shown hovering with wings in air as it feed on the fruit on branch. The reverse is stamped with hallmarks but they are quite faint so difficult to give exact age but I would estimate it to be made around the 40s or 50s.
The brooch is offered in very clean condition with all marcasites intact. The pin slots into a secure roll over type clasp.
Dimensions: 6 x 3.5 cm
