brass plaque reading "the kelvite standard compass" kelvin , bottomley & baird ltd glasgow and listing the patents and compass number plus another plaque with the makers name and image, further serial numbers inside the binnacle casing.
this is a most unusual item and something we know very little about, it would make a lovely nautical feature or an interesting addition to a collection. we invite offers.
