An attractive Edwardian mahogany bookcase in the Sheraton revival style. The whole inlaid with satinwood cross banding between boxwood and ebony lines. The top section with a good swan neck pediment, moulded cornice and inlaid frieze. The 2 glazed doors with 13 pane astragal glazing bars and original glass. The interior with 3 adjustable mahogany shelves each faced with 2 lines of boxwood stringing. The base section has 2 inlaid drawers with original brass oval plate handles and below are 2 inlaid panelled doors with a deeper shelf interior. The whole standing on off set ogee moulded feet. This bookcase retains the original patina and is mahogany lined throughout. Fully cleaned and waxed, the original brass handles and escutcheons polished.
