A delightful watercolour of Seth Brown, Bath Pie Man, initialed and dated 1835 with details to the gilt slip. Seth Brown would have sold his wares in the street in Bath in the early part of the 19th century and the painting portrays him holding a tray of pies. A truly rare named study of a delightful subject.
