A set of ten Georgian style country made ladderback chairs, these consist of 2 armchairs and eight single chairs. They are made in elm and ash and all have rush seats which are in very good condition. They are made in the style of Lancashire wavy ladderback chairs. They all have their original colour and polished surface. Some of these chairs have a few very minor differences which is always to be expected with this type of chair. They are strong heavy quality chairs and are all in excellent firm condition throughout. Sizes: Single chairs: 19”(49cms) wide, 17”(43cms) deep, 40”(102cms) high. Armchairs overall sizes: 24”(61cms) wide, 19”(48cms) deep, 43”(109cms) high. Seat height of all chairs: 17 ½ “(45cms). Date circa 1880. I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.

I source my stock through many contacts built up over the years. This continues to consist of carefully chosen high quality 17th 18th and 19th century of furniture, particularly specialising in articles with their own fine original colour and also many interesting smaller items of the same periods.
