A lovely set of six Victorian mahogany dining chairs. We date these chairs to the second half of the 19th century.

The chairs sit on well turned legs at the front and backward curved oblong section legs at the rear.

The backrest is ornate and has a lovely carved horizontal centre rail.

The seat pads are upholstered in a green velour fabric finished with green braid.

The chairs are 36" (91cm) high with a backrest height of 18" (46cm), seat height of 17" (44cm), seat width of 19.5" (50cm) and a seat depth of 15" (38cm).

This lovely set of Victorian carved balloon back dining chairs remain in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some very minor usage marks to the frames and fabric including some light indentations to the frame and feet. There is some very slight play to some of the frames.

This remains a very stylish and elegant set of Victorian carved mahogany balloon back dining chairs which will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
