Set of six ribbon back Chippendale style chairs
An early 20th century set of six mahogany ribbon back chairs in the Chippendale style.
This set of chairs consist of a shaped and carved top rail with central carved decoration with carved ears to either side leading down to moulded uprights with an intricately carved central back splat consisting of draped ribbon, carved acanthus and central tassel decoration.
This leads down to drop in seats covered in a neutral fabric (all in good condition) depicting putti with a moulded rail below.
This leads down to the seat rail with carved gadroon decoration supported by cabriole legs to the front with carved foliate decoration terminating with a ball and claw foot with outswept legs to the back.
This set of chairs are in excellent condition for age, are of stable construction and are ready to go straight into a home.
