A fine, very attractive set of six Regency period mahogany dining room chairs. These have inset top rails and well carved centre rails in the backs and stand on moulded sabre front legs, they have drop in upholstered seats. These are excellent heavy quality chairs with their original polished surface and colour. They are in excellent, strong, robust condition. Sizes: Height of back: 34”(86cms). Width: 18 ½ (47cms), Depth of seat: 17”(43cms), Height of seat:18”(46cms). Date circa 1810. I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
