Set of Four, English, Leather Embossed, Chairs c.1900

In General
A beautiful set of four English oak and hand embossed - highly decorative leather chairs, c.1900. The floral embossed back panels and seats are in a deep chocolate brown leather with a rich patina and accented with decorative brass studs all around.
Comprising ornate turned fluted legs rising up from ball feet, with stunning back balustrades. The chairs have intricately hand carved top rails ending in lion finials on either side and above beautiful highly decorated floral leather embossed back panels and seats. These chairs have small proportions so will comfortably fit into smaller interiors.
The chairs have original upholstered seats which are padded with straw. The seats are therefore firm to sit on.

Mark
There is no label as is generally the case with chairs of this type.
Dated
Circa 1900
Material
Oak
Condition
In excellent antique condition with untouched original surfaces. There are no chips, cracks or restoration. There are some dinks and scratches and a small area of wood loss consistent with their age and use. There is some leather loss on the edges of the seats. There is a short cut in the leather back panel of one of the chairs which is lost in the decoration and is barely visible. The chairs are in a good sturdy condition apart from one which has a bit more movement albeit still solid. One of the balustrades twists but is still firmly held in place. The chairs have old woodworm holes which we have been advised by a highly regarded antique auction house is 'dead/old' woodworm
