A superb set of late 19th Century open armchairs in the Regency style, having caned seats and caned curved back rests. These japanned chairs are hand painted with gilt flowers and trellis to the arms and finely turned supports and legs. These antique chairs are in good condition, the caning is good on both seats and back rests. There is slight wear to the painting on some areas of the arms, this is as would be expected on original painted chairs. The chairs are stable and stand evenly with no wobbles. A very unusual and decorative set of chairs for the chairs for the dining or as occasional chairs.
