Circa 1880, rare set of 6 red walnut captain’s chairs with makers label ‘W. Walker & Son Manufacturers, Bunhill Row London, EC’. With shaped top rail and extended arm rest, supported by shaped uprights and turned, tapering spindles. The solid scooped seat is made in one piece, over 4 turned and ring turned, tapering legs intersected by double (H) stretchers beneath.
