This is a good quality set of six late Victorian carved walnut dining chairs in the style of the Queen Anne period having upholstered seats, circa 1900, most likely originating from Italy. The chairs have a light and refined presence. The set consists of six side chairs. The chairs feature shaped serpentine head rails with a floral carved and pierced central splat back. The chairs are upholstered in hardwearing silk herringbone pattern upholstery. To the underside of the seat is a pretty shaped carved frieze and the whole of the chair sits on elegant cabriole legs. This is a true set of chairs (they have not been matched together) and they are extremely comfortable. The chairs are heavy in weight this is a further sign of quality.

The frames of the chairs feature a rich walnut colour. As they boast the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and the years of care and cleaning they have received.

This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room, dining rom, study, and library or office boardroom. This item would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.
