Superb set of 10 Victorian oak dining chairs by the Birmingham cabinet makers Chamberlain & Jones c.1880. Exceptional carved frames in particularly attractive timber with crisp scallop and leaf pattern carving to the top rail and scrolling stave tops. With further carved details running down the back and a recessed finger grip to the rear. A comfortable chair with padded back rest and generously proportioned seat. Raised on a good turned and reeded front leg with original brass castors. Excellent condition cleaned and waxed in our workshops and freshly upholstered in a charcoal tweed. With original maker’s label.
