A characterful set of 6 antique Victorian mahogany and buttoned leather dining chairs dating from circa 1880 and probably Scottish. In solid mahogany, with solid and sturdy frames with good original patina. The comfortable dished back rests feature geometric lines and are raised on tapered and turned front legs terminating in original brass and ceramic casters. The frames are all very solid and sturdy. The seats are sprung, with horsehair and have their original deep buttoned leather upholstery which has worn and dulled with age (a few rips here and there).

The frames are very solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Original leather upholstery is worn and dull, a few small rips here and there. Sprung seats, horsehair upholstery. Upholstery is old and well-worn but in useable condition. Some old worm holes.
