A charming set of 4 antique Georgian country chairs in ash. With serpentine tops over pierced splats on square tapered legs. Substantial and sturdy chairs with lots of charm and character. The drop-in seats have been newly recovered in a pale gold chenille fabric over the existing upholstery which is in fair condition. Dating from the early 19th century.

Wear and marks commensurate with age. Fairly solid and sturdy frames – one chair has an old mend to the leg (see photo) and one of the chairs has some slight give to the joints . The seats have been newly recovered over the existing upholstery which is in fair condition.
