Serpentine Oak & Marble Top Console Table c.1790..
Unusual late 18th.c marble top console or side table c.1790. Highly figured inch-thick grey marble top with serpentine shaped and moulded edges. On an oak base with serpentine front and shaped apron. With simple moulded detail to the bottom edge of the apron and continued down the slim cabriole legs which terminate in delightful little carved paw feet front and rear. With an old repaired break to the marble and some damage to the feet. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
