A charming burr walnut writing table, or desk, in the Queen Anne style. Of gentle serpentine fronted form , with elegant lines and a great depth of colour and patina. Of very good construction in solid walnut and with attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas. The top is fitted with a sumptuous leather three piece writing surface which is decorated with gilt tooling. There are two shorter drawers flanking the long central drawer. The whole thing stands on elegant cabriole legs with carved detailing to the knees and terminating in pad feet. The desk is finished to the rear so could be free standing within a room if desired. We have had this item expertly and sympathetically repolished by our team of craftsmen. It is now offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home or office.
