Stunning Louis Philippe mahogany and marble top serpentine fronted chest of drawers c.1840. Original and beautifully figured pale grey marble top over four lockable drawers plus a slim extra drawer hidden in the plinth. Matched flame mahogany veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern across the drawer fronts. Moulded and crossbanded fronts to the horizontal rails between the drawers. Flanked with crisply turned half column pilasters at the front corners, over turned front feet. Superior quality with solid mahogany sides and oak back panel. Oak drawer linings and groundwork to the drawer fronts. Original locks and key. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
