A good George III, Scottish Provincial Silver Soup Ladle made by James Gordon of Aberdeen and dating from c1770.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "IG" (struck twice) for James Gordon and "ABD" for Aberdeen.
James Gordon is recorded in Jackson's as working in Aberdeen c1766-1779.
