Samson Of Paris French Porcelain Figure Of A Sheep
A sweet late 19th century porcelain figure of a recumbent sheep, c.1880, with small bocage produced by Edme Samson after the 18th century Chelsea versions. Nicely modelled with textured fleece and with the remnants of gold anchor mark to the back.
It measures 6.5cm (2 1/2") by 5.8cm (2 1/4") wide and 6.5cm (2 1/2") high.
Condition: there has been a repair to the trunk below the bocage, restoration to the left ear and a small chip to the tip of the right one. A couple of very minor chips to the bocage, enamels are nice and bright and it displays well. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
