Ruthanne Tudball Studio Pottery Soda Glazed Teapot
1 of 6
This is a wonderful hand-built stoneware teapot by the renowned East Anglian potter Ruthanne Tudball. Possessing her characteristic fold-over spout the body and lid are decorated in a soda glaze consisting of green swirls over a dark blue and white spotted under layer.
Maker’s mark close to the edge at the base together with the spiral mark date the piece to between 1978-2004. A small round red label on the base together with a label bearing the number 93 suggests that it was bought at an exhibition and has only ever been on display. It was probably purchased as a three piece set, the jug and sugar bowl have been separately listed.
Dimensions:
Width 22.5 cm
Depth 13 cm
Height 19 cm
Condition: Though the teapot has never been used there is a small flake missing from the bottom edge of the spout. It is by no means obvious (as can be seen by the close-up photograph) and the teapot displays very well. Please contact David by using the enquiry form or phoning 07931 370372 if you would like to see additional photographs or require more information.
