This is a small, characterful hand-built stoneware milk jug by the renowned East Anglian potter Ruthanne Tudball. Possessing her characteristic fold-over spout the jug is decorated in a soda glaze consisting of broad green and white brush-strokes over a dark blue and white spotted under layer.

Maker’s mark close to the edge at the base together with the spiral mark date the piece to between 1978-2004. It was probably originally purchased at exhibition as a three piece set, the teapot and sugar bowl have been separately listed.
