Royal Worcester "Fruit" plate, A Shuck, 1923

Royal Worcester "Fruit" plate.
Hand painted and signed by Albert Shuck.
The early puce coloured backstamp is for 1923.
The plate is 16cm in diameter (6.25").
All measurements are approximate.
Very good condition ... no chips or crazing.
On very close examination, there is what appears to be a 2.5 cm hairline crack at the bottom edge of the plate. This does not appear on the back of the plate and the plate still rings clearly when pinged.
It is our opinion that it is actually a scratch in the original plate blank that filled with paint during painting and consequently gives the appearance of a crack. The surface gloss finish does not show any blemish.
Please see photos which form an important part of the description.
Selling price includes free UK postage. For other countries, please contact us for a quote.
