Royal Doulton "Omar Khayyam" HN2247 Figurine

Offered for sale is a Royal Doulton figure of Omar Khayyam designed by Mary Nicoll.
Omar Khayyam was an astronomer, astrologer, physician, philosopher, and mathematician: he made outstanding contributions in algebra. His poetry is better known in the West than any other non-Western poet. Omar Khayyam died at the age of 83 in his hometown of Nishapur on December 4, 1131. He was buried in a tomb whose location he had chosen in an orchard where blossom would fall twice a year.
This figure was issued from 1964-1983, however, the absence of the words "Fine China" on the backstamp indicate that this particular figure was made between 1964 and 1972. Delivery Options (under 2kg)
Free delivery included to UK Mainland & NI.
