A very good looking Rosewood writing table with excellent detailing as can be seen in the photographs. The barley twist turning in the leg is very fine and would have been very difficult to produce in this detail. Note the pierced frets under the drawers which again shout out the quality. In excellent restored condition with a fresh tooled skiver fitted this could sit almost anywhere and look good but also be very useful. From around 1900 it has certainly come from the hands of a skilled creftsman, and it is without doubt keenly priced. SORRY NOW SOLD
