Robert Tavener Signed Painting of Windsor Castle
This is a fine original Robert Tavener RE (1920-2004) signed ink and watercolour painting of Windsor Castle.
The watercolour is signed bottom right with the title 'Windsor Castle' in the artist's hand above the signature. It is simply framed in limed oak with a cream coloured mount, probably in the 1980s for the artist's own home. On the reverse is a label on which is written, again in the artist's neat hand, an Eastbourne address (presumably Tavener's) and 'Windsor Castle - Victoria Monument'
Better known for his linocuts, Taverner also produced many watercolours with the South Downs landscape and historic buildings within a short drive of his home in Eastbourne providing the greatest inspiration and subject matter.
Dimensions: Image 37 x 27 cm, Frame 53.5 x 43.5 cm
Postage & packing: The picture can be posted to a UK address for £15, hopefully, without having to remove the glass first. Alternatively, the picture can be hand delivered to most places on mainland England and Wales for £50.
