Retro Modernist Design Office Desk.
Being a Original Modernist designed Desk Originaly designed made In The Middle period of British post war modernist movement design.The Desk Has the typical design features of the late 1950s early 1960s modernist period .
The desk was bought new in 1960 and was made by ABC Desks this company are still in business still making office antique furniture today.
The Desk is a good large size Office Desk finished in teak Veneers.
The desk has 3 graduated drawers to one side with 2 drawers one deep and one thin drawer to the other side, the desk also has pull out teak slides to each side of the desk, the desk top is of a Flared Canted Design Shape and has the Typical Leatherette Skiver top a Early 60s Desks had. the desk is complete with the shaped original metal handles to the drawers .
The front of the desk is slighty stepped in shape.
The Desk Stands on Round Short Teak & Metal Covered Legs With Capped Metal button Feet.
The design is mid 20th century retro and is typical of the post war british deign period .
Would be a ideal desk for a loft or modernist appartment or retro designed living / office space .
