Regency Scroll Arm Sofa Chaise Longue Mahogany
Antique scroll arm flame mahogany sofa.
Dates from C1825- 1845 (Regency, William IV and early Victorian periods).
Rare and attractive....better than most....lovely slender simple design.
Includes the bolster cushions.
Horsehair / wadding stuffing.
Very heavy and strong, with no loose joints.
No significant woodworm.
Great proportions and styling, which would look amazing in the right location.
The sofa has recently been reupholstered in a heavy weight upholstery fabric, with a natural, light cream/oatmeal colour.
Overall maximum dimensions
211cmW x 63cmD x 93cmH (42cmH seat when sat on).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture. Dissimilar period ceramic castors with some wear (as you would expect). There are a few historic repairs to the veneer on the backrail and one of the rear legs has been repaired (solid and strong now).
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
