A pretty ladies saw cut Brazilian rosewood writing slope box in original condition, with silk velvet embossed slope. The top with flower and foliage mother of pearl decoration, and two original escutcheons. The key with mother of pearl tag fits but is not working. With original rose pink lining paper and ruched silk and gilded leather facing hiding the secret letter compartment in the lid. It measures 12" long x 8 3/4" deep x 6" high.
