Regency Petite Writing Table
As original as you could wish to find and a great example of its period,infact it doesn’t take much to imagine one of Jane Austens Bennet girls siting at such a table to pen a letter.
Of mahogany construction throughout with the top presenting a mellow colour and evidence of its previous working life. The single drawer contains a tooled leather writing surface which lifts to allow access. To the back a dummy drawer with all four original handles to both drawers. Slender turned legs terminating with brass casters. Line detail to sides and drawer edges.
A superb, untouched table of approx 200 years of age perfectly usable and full of character for immediate use.
