Regency Mahogany Sideboard. Small Side Cabinet
This is a Regency period antique sideboard of notable small size and thoughtful design.
It is made of quality figured mahogany, and inlaid with ebonised stringing lines. It has a very nicely shaped apron and tall bracket feet. All totally original and undamaged.
For a cabinet of this small size it has some practical fitted features with dining room use in mind:
There are 2 drawers above - original pine lining and of dovetailed construction.
The left hand cupboard door below is dummy fronted to look like 2 drawer fronts. Contained within are 3 sliding trays, mahogany fronted and felt lined. For cutlery and serving utensils.
The small central cupboard has a removable shelf. It is a good size for wine glasses and coffee cups.
The Right hand side is a cellarette, dummy fronted as the left hand. For storing bottles.
Condition: Excellent
