A handsome Regency mahogany secretaire chest in excellent condition. The drawers are finely strung, retain their original oval handles, and run smoothly. The top drawer drops to reveal a fitted interior of pigeonholes, small drawers, and a lockable cupboard inlaid with Britannia, which also conceals secret compartments.
Beautifully made with a warm colour and patina, it offers both storage and a practical workspace. Minor age‑related marks as expected, but overall a solid, well‑cared‑for piece — a versatile and elegant example of Regency furniture, ready to place in any interior.
