Antique quality Regency C1825 light mahogany loo breakfast table with a tilt top.
This is a lovely table, that is full of age, charm and character. Lovely patina and light colour, with a magnificent Trafalgar twist base and period brass castors.
Rare and attractive....breathtaking top made from two very wide pieces of the finest mahogany.
The table is heavy, solid and has no loose joints....the tilting mechanism and the catch work well.
Would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions: 144cmL x 108cmW x 74cmH (161cmH when tilted up).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with antique furniture. Some wear in the castors, as is usual and to be expected. There are a few extinct woodworm holes (that have been treated for good measure) in the non-mahogany components that attach the top to the base. There have been alterations to under-top support components and the top (believed original to base) may have been rotated 180 degrees to create new fixings for catch and supports. There is a slight crack where the two planks of the top meet, but it is well glued, stable and there is no relative movement (as one would expect for a table such as this).
