Elegant early 19th.c. mahogany extending dining table. c.1820. Solid mahogany top on four beautifully turned and fluted legs with original brass cup castors. Of a design which we have never come across before all four table top leaves are removable with the end two held in place with hook and eye fittings. The table extends on telescopic sides from 53” to 82” with the addition of either one or two 16” wide leaves. These addition leaves are held with brass clips which stow in specially cut holes on frame when not in use. Presented in original and unrestored condition.
