This is a superb Regency tilt-top coromandel cross-banded flame mahogany breakfast table on a turned pedestal base, c.1820.

The top is made from a single slice of mahogany with a 2 inch border of stunning coromandel veneers and a reeded edge. It sits on a gun barrel turned column with three reeded splayed legs ending in brass castors.

Condition: The table is in excellent condition with a few marks commensurate with its age. The top has been re-French polished in our workshop whereas the base has simply received a wax and buff. There is a professional repair in the centre of the knot on the top which is believed to date from its original manufacture as the centre of knots are notoriously difficult to saw. There is a professional repair to one of the legs which probably dates from the 19th Century. The brass catch and castors all appear to be original.

Delivery: This table can be delivered to anywhere on mainland England and most of Wales for £60 by our trusted delivery man who is an expert in transporting antique furniture and artwork. Any other items which you may wish to purchase at the same time would only incur a small, if any, incremental charge for their delivery. We have a trusted delivery man who is a experienced in transporting antiques, pictures and fragile items. He can deliver to most places on mainland England and Wales and, depending on where he is on his schedule, it may take a few days or up to 4 weeks. Other couriers are available for Scotland and North Wales or where a shorter time frame is required. Purchases can also be collected in person from the Tunbridge Wells area in SE England.
