Regency Column Torchere Plant Stand
Lovely quality early 19th century Regency mahogany column torchere plant stand or urn stand.
The square top surface I have had re polished, so there are no water marks etc. Nicely carved edge and a good solid mahogany turned column, standing on the classic Regency beehive turned base and three further supports with roundel mouldings.
This is a good solid column, so it would happily hold a heavy bronze bust for example.
Measuring:
35” or 89cm high
14 1/4” or 36cm square top Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
