Really Lovely, Impressive Inlaid Dressing Table
This is certainly an impressive dressing table. Dating from the early half of the 1900s, deco or maybe a touch before it is a good clean example. The mirror has a small blemish in the centre and there are a couple of small marks on the top, it is still most useable however.The pictures do show these but they are not easily noticable either in the pictures or in the flesh. We have not changed the mirror as it is original and has the bevel on its edge.
The inlays and the quartered veneers are really what makes this dressing table most impressive, they are lovely. The finials on the uprights and on the mirror screws are also much nicer than most available, in fact it is rare to find the finials in brass let alone with this detail. THere are two small trinket drawers on the top and a row of three useful drawers under the top. All of these boasting inlays too. An awful lot of work has gone into making this dressing table, surely not one to be missed.
Almost certainly French this is not an item that is going to be repeated in a hurry, possibly never. If you are wanting something that is impressive without breaking the bank this could well be for you. We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas. We now open by appointment, but we are often open Fridays and Saturdays, but cannot guarantee,( our sign will be out if passing ) it is worth ringing before coming.Tel 01565 874075
