RARE Scottish treen quails egg cups & stand treen egg cups
FINE and RARE 19th century Scottish set of six Quails egg cups and original stand. Made in the last quarter of the 19th century in lignum vitae. Nicely turned stand with various ring decoration and original brass handle. The six egg cups are obviously of small size and are finely turned. The original threaded screw hole you can see in the base were they were original held for turning.

One egg cup has a small chip at the base otherwise perfect condition. A very nice and unusual piece of t Scottish treen. I've seen plenty of normal size treen egg cups and stand but never one as small as this.

SIZE Stand base is 5 1/2" diameter. The egg cups are 1 1/4" diameter at the top by 1 1/2" high.
