Superb Jug made by Davenport in the early 1800s Circa 1810-15.
Made for the kitchen in glastonbury abbey,
Hand Painted.
Porcelain is in exceptionally good condition .
There is slight damage to handle see pictures. A ware crack in handle which has at some time been stapled to protect it. It isnt visible on display . The other slight ware is to the middle join at the base age related. Otherwise in exceptionally good condition for a 200 years old jug.
The gold aroung the edge in leafy foliage is lovely.
The hand painted scene of glastonbury abbey is lovely.
