Rare Original Cecil Aldin Nursery Frieze – Lucky D
A stunning original and very rare Cecil Aldin Chromolithograph Nursery frieze print titled ‘You Lucky Dog’. This one of a series of 12 nursery friezes that Aldin produced and I am selling 4 of them along with 2 by JAS.
The print was produced by Richard Wyman & Co. and printed by Goffart in Brussels around 1910 laid onto board. All the prints are framed and glazed in their original oak frames. There is the remanence of a retail label on the frames, they were retailed by Whiteleys Department Store in London. The print is 70cm x 27cm and the frame is 74cm x 31cm.
Condition
The condition is very good. There is a slight crease to the bottom left corner. The reverse of the frame is missing most of the wooden backing.
