Rare Heal's Oak Cabinet Come Table
Just removed from a private house in Fife we have on offer here a very rare HEAL'S of LONDON golden oak cabinet come dining table. I have never seen this "Metamorphic" type of design on a piece of Heal's antique furniture before. It is in completely original and un-touched condition.
Comprises of a pair of cupboard doors with shaped shelf inside with a full width drawer above both with original shaped wooden handles. The piece has double sides, the outside ones are hinged so they can be brought out to hold the top up when it is opened out and thus form an extension of the sides as can be seen in the photos.
The top is a beautiful piece of "curly grain" oak and has top quality dovetail shape brass hinges.
There is no damage and no repairs but the surfaces are as found with the odd ring mark to the top.
SIZES 54" wide by 18" deep by 31" high when closed. The top is 54" by 36" when open.
