A rare BURMANTOFTS ART POTTERY Jardiniere superbly decorated with an exotic dragon design.

Moulded in relief, this fabulous dragon winds it's way around the Jardiniere amidst stylised waves, fish and a bird. In excellent condition with no damage (apart from one small frit on a raised moulding edge), cracks or restoration. Any other white marks are reflections. Stunning red Burmantofts faience glaze.

Marked on base with 'Burmantofts Faience', what looks like the monogram 'WN' (N reversed), and '869'.

Height ~ 235mm, Diameter (max) _280mm, top ~227mm. Weight 3kg.
