This is a charming pair of early 19th century Staffordshire pottery cats in really good condition dating from around 1840. The cats are modelled upright, seated on a cushion with gilded bows around their necks. The pair have hand gilded highlights to the bodies and ears and are in very good condition (save for a small hairline to one back leg as photographed).
Cats are rare to find in Staffordshire particularly now in pairs. These measure 18 cms high 10 cms wide by 8 cms deep.
