Great looking and of a great scale, we have an original racehorse and jockey sculpture by Mary Milner Dickens Prix de Rome, M.F.A., A.R.C.A. “Whilst obtaining her A.R.C.A in 1956, she was awarded the Royal Society of British Sculptors Countess Feodora Gleichen prize for best female sculptor graduating that year. During this time, in two subsequent years (1955-56) she won first prize in the national competition to design the Topham Trophy – the first woman recipient in its history. Not a bad pedigree”. One of our images is of Mary.

The sculpture, an original piece which is a mixed media, patinated plaster sitting on a fibre base does have a few losses but is certainly a fine modernist centre piece and would look great on a sideboard at home or in a commercial space.

When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. We try our best to deliver within 14 working days. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles and for World-wide shipping.

Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions

If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.

On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
