A very pretty BURMANTOFTS FAIENCE ART POTTERY Planter produced in the Burmantofts Leeds factory between 1882 and 1904.
Iconic vibrant Burmantofts turquoise glaze. Interesting decoration of angled oval panels of flowers, foliage and geometric designs to the main body, with additional bands of geometric designs above and below. Fully marked 'BURMANTOFTS FAIENCE' and design no 1578. Excellent condition.
Height ~175mm. Diameter (max) ~ 255mm.
