Pretty Pair Early 18thC Dutch Delft Plates
Pretty pair of early 18th century Dutch Delft plates painted in the oriental style depicting a central scene of a willow tree surrounded by a classic angled fence next to a lotus flower bush. The vignette framed by a pretty frieze and the rims decorated with flowers and foliage.
They measure 23cm (9") wide and 2.5cm (1") deep. Condition is good overall one has 3 chips to the rim and glaze losses to the rim edge and the other has glaze losses to the rim and no body damage. No hairlines or restoration. We are now taking a few days off for Christmas, back on the 5th of January. Wishing all our customers a very Happy Christmas!!
