This is a fine quality small Chinese hongmu pot stand in good antique condition with a lovely colour, Qing Dynasty c.1900.

Made from solid hongmu wood (rosewood) it comprises a panelled top, a nicely carved and pierced frieze and four round section, shaped legs joined by shaped stretchers near their base. The wood has a lovely rich colour and a waxed lustrous finish.

Because of its relatively low height (60cm) this stand could be used as an individual drinks table as well as for displaying a Chinese pot or plant.
