Description: Antique polychrome glazed majolica display plate depicting Moses saved from the waters, dating back to the second half of the 19th century.
In the foreground, a young woman kneels near the water, holding a wicker basket recently recovered from the river.
Inside, a newborn baby moves and raises its arms. It's alive and fragile, having just been rescued, and the woman looks at it tenderly, as if she's discovered something unexpected.
Next to her are two women with a child in the center, adding a sense of continuity and life to the scene.
General Condition: Good.
Provenance: Deruta, 19th century.
Dimensions: Diameter 50cm. Height 7cm.
