Pinder Bourne Wetland Scene Cake Stand c1880
We have for sale a rather lovely and very decorative Victorian earthenware cake stand or tazza by the Burslem manufacturer Pinder Bourne and Co.
This striking cake stand is sumptuously decorated with a pair of silver egrets in a blue and white wetland scene with and gold leaf foliage. The cake plate is marked to the reverse with the Pinder Bourne impressed mark and the pattern number 806 dating to the piece to around 1880.
The cake plate is 9.75 inches (24.8cm) in diameter, 2.25 inches (7.7cm) high and is in in a very good condition other than the aging and the craqueler one would expect from a piece of Pinder Bourne earthenware of this period.
